July saw a lower number of 32 visits and 102 Wild Brown trout caught, plus 26 Grayling, 1 stocked Trout were also caught along with several Perch and a Chub. The lowe number of visits is not surprising given the lower river levels and changeable weather. This adds to the 178 visits from April to June and the 756 wild trout caught so far this season.

Successful flies are reported as: [Dries]: CDC Emerger, Irresitable Adam, Parachute Adams, Sherry Spinner, Griffiths Gnat, Olive Gypsy Queen, Elk Hair Caddis and [various nymphs] including Quill nymph, small shrimps, PTN and Hares Ear patterns. Gold beads were reported as successful by several members.
Tight lines for August, the recent rainfall is very welcome, although is suspect it may not be enough to give the river levels enough of a boost.
