Report from our river manager Bryan 25.05.20:
“Comments have been made about the water quality of the River Wylye and Nadder. Having paid my second visit to the Wylye beat today, I thought I would check in with other clubs.
They report that the River Avon is also turbid with spring algal bloom…too much nutrient in the system, exacerbated by prolonged periods of sunshine. It may get worse in the next few days but should settle down once the Rununculus really gets going…”
The Wylye is definitely clearer at Langford and the Avon in Durnford is looking better.
